NKB School of Dance was established in June 2001 by sisters Nicola and Karen Bartlett.

Running successfully since 2001, the school continues to grow due to the fun environment and the professional teaching styles of Nicola and Karen. The school has over 200 pupils ranging between the ages of 3 and 83, who participate in the vast range of dance classes offered weekly.

The classes are: Street Dance, Disco Freestyle, Slow Dance, Rock’n’Roll, Latin American and Ballroom styles

Adult courses also run within the dance school ranging from social rock’n’roll through to salsa dancing, from upbeat urban funk street dance through to disco fever line dancing.

NKB are also teachers of Zumba Fitness® where classes are designed to fuse hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program. NKB’s speciality doesn’t stop there; they have trained dancers for themed Bars throughout Bedfordshire, choreographing routines to country and western music, along with supporting dance and charity events within the community on a yearly basis. In April 2010 the school were priviledged to have been chosen to support two of the stars of Strictly Come Dancing on their UK tour, Brian Fortuna and Kristina Rihanoff, choreographing a number of routines for the show including a Rat Pack Medley. They have also choreographed disco freestyle teams for UK competitions and trained the UK rock’n’roll over 16 Champions, enabling them to maintain their championship title.

They have been employed by Luton Borough Council to help teach children with learning difficulties and disabilities introducing them to specially designed dance classes. Through hard work and dedication, NKB School of Dance’s reputation as a professional dancing school continues to grow.
