Well what a fantastic evening we had spent with the stars of Strictly Come Dancing and Got To Dance; Pasha Kovalev, Katya Virshilas, Ryan Hammond and Lindsey Muckle.

Hosted by the fantastic Mike Newman, the show was a hit with the sell out crowd at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable on Friday 3rd May.

What great feedback we received NKB, so here’s to you and your hard work -

Isnt it lovely to wake up to some sunshine, even if it is still a little chilly!  This is a great time to think about summer and holidays and all the clothes that are packed away in the attic from last years summer!

If your thinking (like I am) how am I going to fit into my summer clothes then we have the answer – Zumba!  NKB School of Dance run 3 Zumba classes as a week that can help you tone up.  Burning between 500 and 1000 calories an hour Zumba is a fun way to dance away the pounds.  Take a look at our main website page for details of our classes.

This years dance exams have been announced for Saturday 14th May at Ferrars Junior School Luton with timings and who you’re dancing with to follow.

NKB School of Dance we will be holding a Zumbathon day on Sunday 19th June to raise money for Bliss for the Jacob and Benjamin Bedford Precious Star fund.

As some people may know Karen and I have raised money before for Bliss, by running half marathons and the London 10k, and we thought is was time to start raising again.  Bliss is a charity that is close to mine and Karen’s heart as it has helped our closest and best friends Nicola and Vernon Bedford over the past few years.  To me this charity does not get enough publicity for all the groundbreaking work they do not just from a science point of view, but with the loving support they give.

Alittle bit about Zumba - What is Zumba?

When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive. Since its inception in 2001, Zumba Fitness has grown to become the world’s largest – and most successful – dance-fitness program with more than 10 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking weekly Zumba classes in over 90,000 locations across more than 110 countries.

So, please, please tell all your family and friends to save the date so we can raise as much money as possible.

Get your fitness gear on and join us for a fun packed day!

The finer details are yet to be finalised but we can confirm the venue and start time and please listen to Heart radio and keep a check on the local papers as we hope to be able to get some free advertising too.
